April 23rd in San Francisco
Workshop for professional wedding and portrait photographers
What is It?
You're invited to one day workshop at my studio in San Francisco on Tuesday, April 23rd, 2013.
The cost of the workshop is 900 and includes a delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
This is not a workshop for beginners or amateurs. A lot of the material pertains to business skills and client relationships, so this workshop is only helpful to working pros.
What to Expect?
In the morning I'll do a real live photo shoot and show you the editing and post production. In the afternoon I will do short critiques of each student's work (this has been the most popular part). I will also cover:
• How to stay creative and authentic
• The difference between a pretty picture and an important picture
• Building trust with clients
• Running an honest business that is true to your own values
• Creating community with other professionals
• Finding marketing that works for you
• Anything else you want to know (Q and A during meal time.)
Details
Directions and hotel recommendations will be sent after you register.
Workshop hours are 10am to 6pm, dinner is at 6 and we'll wrap up around 9pm.
Creativity is when you're stuck in at the DFW airport overnight with nothing to do, and instead of sitting around reading magazines you make a video. That's what these two guys did. They took a really boring situation and made something brilliant.
Here are some photos from the last Kuperskool workshop! Thank you Jordan and Chris for modelling and thanks for all the wonderful students who came. I am so glad to have met all of you!
And here is a photo with all of us together. What a gorgeous group!
From Jan, Slovak Republic:
Dear Anna,
The workshop was important experience for me.
My first question for you and Dorota [the interpreter] was if I will understand something during workshop...
I understood 90% from your words and 90% from polish.
So finally it is around 180% and that's not bad!
I think, that I also discovered something behind the words.
We were tired during our short night walk to the hotel and I don't wanted boring or disturbing You with another "photo" words...
But I just wanted to tell You this:
I understood, that You are a great photographer more than 20 years...
Your St. Louis pictures are fantastic, just like Your recent works.
You born with something inside You, that I cannot describe.
With something, that other photographers like me have to learn...
Never mind, I don't want give it up.
Next time I will look for place where puck is going to be.
I hope I will come back home with better pictures.
[ He is referring to a Wayne Gretsky Quote: "I skate to where the puck is going to be, not where it has been. ]
The March workshop in Warsaw was a big success! Thank you
Whitesmoke Studio for hosting the workshop and thank you to all the talented students who attended! Here are some photos I took of our beautiful models, Ania and Maciek.
These are products I recommend for you. If you buy something through one of these buttons, I get some beer money.
